Over the past few months, Jack Reddick of Lyon County High School and Stars Basketball Club has been one of the biggest senior stock boosters in not only Kentucky but the entire region. With this, the 6’3” point guard has seen a big recent boost in his recruitment recently.
Up until this month, the only offers the senior had were from a pair of NAIA programs. Those came from University of the Cumberlands and Kentucky Christian University. Though over the past two weeks, he has added a pair of division one offers. The first came from The Citadel and then Florida Gulf Coast University also extended an offer to him more recently. “Has felt great,” Reddick said about picking up these two newest offers. “I am super blessed to have these opportunities. All my hard work is starting to pay off and I give all the glory to God.”
While he was just recently offered by both The Citadel and Florida Gulf Coast, he already has strong impressions of both schools. “I love how The Citadel was the first division school to believe in me. The school has a rich history, and I am looking forward to learning more about them. Ever since FGCU reached out, we have been in touch every day and I really have enjoyed getting to know the coaching staff.”
In addition to his four offers, he is also drawing interest from numerous division one programs. The list includes Bellarmine, Eastern Kentucky, East Tennessee State, Furman, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Samford, USC Update, among others. Next up in his recruitment is a visit to The Citadel starting today followed by a visit to Florida Gulf Coast this weekend.
After receiving the two new offers, the senior is not looking to wait long before picking his future school. Reddick is looking to make his college commitment by the end of February.
