During the offseason there was plenty of talent to leave the state of Illinois once again. However, there is still plenty left to make for good competition to fill these teams up.

Marquis Clark – 2026 – PG – Whitney Young

While he was only third team all-state last season, there is no denying that Clark is one of the most talented players in the state as well as the entire Midwest. With his great ability to create for himself and others, there is no reason not to expect Clark to make the jump and finish the season on this list. Clark recently committed to Tennessee.

Jaxson Davis – 2027 – PG – Warren Township

Davis is an easy pick for this list as he has been dominant at the high school level right from the start of his freshman season. In each of his first two seasons at Warren, he has already earned himself back-to-back 4A first team all-state honors by the IBCA. Last season he was also able to lead his team all the way to the state championship game as just a sophomore. Expect nothing different in his upcoming junior season and Davis to end up with first team all-state honors once again.

Christopher Kirkpatrick – 2026 – PG – New Trier

Third team all-state as a sophomore and then second team all-state as a junior. It would not be a surprise at all for him to make another jump up to the first team for his senior season. Kirkpatrick is one of the most skilled players in the state and took a huge jump in his game over the past year. Kirkpatrick is committed to Princeton.

Rashaun Porter – 2026 – F – DePaul Prep

There are few players in the state or even entire region, if any, as accomplished as Porter. In each of his three years of high school, Porter and DePaul Prep have won a state championship. For personal accolades, the forward earned himself 3A first team all-state honors as a junior last season. In his senior season Porter and DePaul Prep will have a legitimate shot at accomplishing the four peat. Porter is committed to Toledo.

Lincoln Williams – 2026 – SG – Kankakee

Not just one of the top prospects in the state but also one of the past players. This has been true for a large part of his high school career as he was a 3A first team all-state player last season by the IBCA as well as second team the year prior. Look for Williams to be a part of the top duo in the state alongside the transferred in EJ Hazelett. Williams is currently the top uncommitted senior in the state with multiple high major offers.
