There is a large number of big names in the Midwest’s 2027 class. Though there are even more players that are poised to take their game to the next level in this high school season. Here are the next five up in this series.

Antwoine Mister – 2027 – PG – Oregon Clay

If Mister continues to play at the same high level he did this summer with HoopTech, he will have plenty of scholarship coaches looking his way over the next several months. The point guard was simply dominant throughout the NY2LA Final Chapter tournament while averaging 20.8 points, 9 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2 blocks per game. Not only is Mister a true three level scorer but also has a good ability to create for himself. He is also a smart playmaker with the ball creating for others. There is little that the junior cannot do on the court.

Antwon Pollard – 2027 – SG – Westland

Over the past couple of years, Pollard has continued to be one of the top 2027 guards on the NY2LA Association. The skilled 6’3” wing guard is such a well-rounded and impactful player on both ends. The guard can score it in bunches, which was shown at the NY2LA Final Chapter tournament while averaging 14.5 points highlighted by his shot making ability. Though his game goes much further as he can also create for teammates, rebounds well as a guard, and defends multiple positions well.

Evan Ploeckelman – 2027 – SF – Mukwonago

Ploeckelman is a player who cannot be overlooked in Wisconsin’s loaded 2027 class. He started his junior season in a huge way with a stat line of 37 points, 12 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks. There is much to like from his all-around game as he has the size at 6’6” to be effective inside but has continued to greatly build his game to be able to play on the perimeter handling the ball and hit the three. With his blend of size and skills he is a scholarship level recruit.

Ed Stasys – 2027 – F – Benet Academy

He helped Benet win a state championship last season and has shown great growth in his game that he’s ready for a much bigger role as a junior. As well to being 6’8”, he is an agile and athletic forward with a versatile skill set with a great array of tools for the next level. He received his first division one offer in September from Western Michigan and should have more programs looking his way.

Quinn Wesenberg – 2027 – SG – Bonduel

Wesenberg took great strides in his game throughout his grassroots season with the Wisconsin Legends. After just averaging 6.3 points at the first tournament of the spring, he was consistently averaging well into double digits each tournament to end his season. This included 13.6 and 16 points in the two NY2LA tournaments in July. Wesenberg has continued to show he’s one of the top shooters in Wisconsin’s 2027 class but has also shown a well-rounded skill set, knows how to play, and positional size at 6’3”. He had an all-conference sophomore season and will be a must-see player in his junior season.
