Winona State Offer For Grant Hardy

Following a breakout grassroots season with the Wisconsin Playmakers, Grant Hardy has added a division two offer. This came from Winona State for the 6’4” wing of Appleton North High School (WI).

In his junior season, Hardy averaged 12.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. He was then a key to all the success of the Wisconsin Playmakers throughout the spring and summer. He helped them go undefeated at both the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza and Midwest Classic D2 Showcase tournaments.

The scholarship offer for Hardy came on a recent visit to the Minnesota school which competes in the NSIC. “The visit was great, beautiful campus and area,” Hardy said about his visit. On what he liked about them, he stated “I like the coach and how direct he is, also the winning culture they have.” Winona State is coming off of a 22-win season in which they advanced to the second round of the division two NCAA tournament. They have also won national championships in 2006 and 2008.

Hardy was also offered by Northern Michigan back in the fall of 2023. As well, some other programs currently showing the most interest in him includes South Dakota Mines and University of Jamestown. For his future program, he is looking for “a culture and a team that wants to win.”
