Winona State Lands A Steal In Bryce Wegrzyn

One of the most under the radar seniors in not just the Illinois but all the Midwest, has made his college commitment. This came from Bryce Wegrzyn, a 6’9” forward/center of Libertyville High School and the Breakaway Basketball program.

Wegrzyn announced his commitment to Winona State this past weekend. His recruitment quicky came along over just the past few days. During the weekend, the senior took his official visit to the Winona, Minnesota campus. “It was a great time,” he first said about his visit. “I got to meet the team and the coaching staff and was able to see lots of the facilities which I was excited to see.”

It was on this official visit that Wegrzyn received his scholarship offer from Winona State. He said he received the offer on Saturday following “a great talk” with head coach Todd Eisner.

“I love the feel on the campus and just the beautiful scenery that Winona has to offer. The hospitality that the coaching staff and players gave me on the visit was great,” Wegrzyn said about his decision to pick Winona State.

On his future of suiting up for Winona State and how is game fits in with them, Wegrzyn said “I see my game fitting there well because lots of the fives that have played there in past years play a lot like I play I’m excited because when I go in there, I need to prove myself so I can help and impact winning at a high level.”
