Weekend Of Commitments for Blue Blood Programs

It was a major weekend of commitments with a few of the top 2025 prospects in the nations announcing theirs. The commitments came from Acaden Lewis, Shelton Henderson, Darryn Peterson, and Isaiah Denis.

Acaden Lewis, a top thirty senior and one of the top point guards in the nations 2025 class, decided upon Kentucky. He chose them over his other finalist of Duke and UConn in addition to previous offers from Auburn, Indiana, Kansas, North Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Villanova, and others. Lewis is coming off a huge season with Team Durant on the EYBL where he averaged 16.7 points and 4.9 rebounds as well to third best in assists per game at the 17U level with 6.1.

Duke continued to add to their strong 2025 recruiting class with a commitment from Shelton Henderson, a top twenty senior in the nation. The 6’6” wing chose the Blue Devils over his other finalist of Louisville and Texas. With the JL3 on the EYBL this past season, Henderson averaged 14.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. Henderson joins Cameron and Cayden Boozer and Nikola Khamenia to make up the top ranked 2025 recruiting class in the nation currently.

Kansas and Bill Self landed their main target in Darryn Peterson who is a top three senior in the nation. The Ohio native and Prolific Prep standout chose the Jayhawks over his other finalist of Kansas State, Ohio State, and USC. His final eight also included Arizona State, Kentucky, Louisville, and Washington. The 6’5” five-star guard played with Phenom United.

A top fifty player in the 2025 class, Isaiah Denis decided upon North Carolina. The Tar Heels were able to beat out the other finalist Miami, Ohio State, Pitt, Tennessee, and Wake Forest. The 6’5” guard was one of the biggest stock risers of the summer during his time with Team CP3. North Carolina offered him back in July.

Some of the next top recruits in the county who will be announcing their commitments are Meleek Thomas on November 11th and Kiyan Anthony on November 15th.
