Vaughn Karvala Has Stock Rising Spring

While Vaughn Karvala has been one of the top players in Wisconsin’s 2026 class over the past couple of years during his high school career, his recruitment is starting to catch up with that. With this included his first high major offer recently for the 6’6” wing of Team Herro and Oregon High School.

Karvala has been one of the more productive players at the 16U level of the Nike EYBL this spring. He has averaged 13 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. When asked about his spring season with Team Herro, he said “It was great, we went through some tough parts, but it was a great experience for me to play with some guys that play at the same level as me.”

Last week, Marquette extended an offer to him to him. This comes following his play at their team camp. “It was an amazing experience and opportunity for all of our guys and me got to play against good competition and good programs, but it was a great experience for us as a team,” he said about their team camp. “It felt amazing to get that offer, really shocked me when they told me,” Karvala said about receiving the offer from Marquette.

While Marquette is the most notable part of his recruitment, there are plenty of other programs recruiting him. Some of the other programs currently recruiting him include Appalachian State, Iowa State, Purdue, St. Louis University, and Western Michigan. As well, Arkansas State had also offered the rising junior on Saturday.

Next up in the recruitment of Karvala, he will be taking a visit to Marquette on Thursday. As one of the top 2026 players in the entire Midwest, look for the recruitment of the bouncy and versatile wing to only grow.
