UNDER THE RADAR WISCONSIN SENIORS TO KNOW

We’ve talked about plenty of players in Wisconsin’s 2024 class but with all the depth, there are always some that deserve some additional recognition. Here are five seniors in the state worth mentioning for coaches at the next level.

Ahmad Badwan – 2024 – SG – Salam School

For the level the 6’3” guard is, he is an incredibly under the radar player who has only continued to produce. As a junior he averaged a whopping 35.5 points to get conference player of the year honors and is now once again averaging over 30 points per game along with 13 rebounds. He is an incredibly skilled player who knows how to use his strong frame and excels playing on the attack to score the ball at a very high level.

Zay Howard – 2024 – PG – Beloit Turner

Quietly, Howard is having a tremendous senior season for Beloit Turner. Not only is he averaging 16 points but even more impressively he is dishing out 7.7 rebounds per game. Howard is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands who excels playing on the attack but can also knock down threes. He is an incredibly skilled passer who always seems to be able to find the open teammates on the attack in addition to being a very crafty finisher all around the paint.

Will Murray – 2024 – SF – Darlington

Murray is a highly productive player with plenty of tools for the next level with his ability to a bit of everything. He has good size standing at 6’7” in addition to good toughness and strength. The senior is currently leading 11-1 Darlington with 20.5 points per game but does so much more with his rebounding, defensive versatility, high IQ, and well-rounded skill set. Wherever he ends up, he is going to help a team win some games.

Greg Smith Jr. – 2024 – F – Madison East

An intriguing 6’6” forward with a lot of tools for the next level. He has good length and moves to be able to effectively defend multiple positions and is active blocking shots, deflecting passes, and forcing turnovers. Smith can play tough around the paint to finish the ball but also step out and knock down the three. The senior is also very aggressive on the glass rebounding everything around him. He picked up an athletic offer from Carroll University back in December and just recently another offer from IU-Columbus.

Brandon Tilley – 2024 – G/F – Franklin

From everything he has shown with the Wisconsin Swing on the grassroots level and now into his senior season as a big stock booster, Tilley is a player college coaches should be familiar with. Right now, he is averaging 19.9 points along with 7.3 rebounds per game to have his team at 6-4 currently. The wing has some size at 6’5” with a college ready frame along with a versatile game, defends multiple positions, and knows how to play. Back in September, he received an offer from Mount Mercy University.
