One of the most dominant big men in the nations 2026 class has continued to be Arafan Diane. The 7’1” post has only continued to raise his recruitment stock this spring while playing with Team Iowa United.
To start off the grassroots season back in the beginning of April, Diane was one of the top players at the NY2LA Swish N’ Dish Tournament. He helped Team Iowa United capture the 17U platinum championship. This included a 21-point performance in the championship game with dominant play throughout the tournament. At Swish N’ Dish, he was named to the All-Tournament team. The high level of play has continued into the spring as he just led Team Iowa United to a 4-0 record at session one of the Adidas 3SSB.
The seven-footer has been one of the most sought-after players in the 2026 class to date. This shows as he received a staggering 23 offers for himself. Included in his lengthy list of offers are Arkansas, Houston, Illinois, Oregon, Texas Tech, Stanford, among many others.
Most recently in his commitment, Diane had a visit from Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson. “The visit went very well with Coach Sampson,” he said about the visit. Diane is planning on starting to take his college visits in September.
