Over the past several months, the recruitment of Stevie Elam has continued to heat up. The most recent development for the 6’2” 2025 guard of Adrian High School (MI) and The Academy program is a visit to an in-state division one program.
On Saturday, Elam took a visit to Central Michigan University. “The visit to Central Michigan was amazing,” Elam said. “Great atmosphere, amazing crowd and great environment. Also, a good win for them with a pack crowd. The coaching staff is great as well.”
Elam had also previously visited Central Michigan back in September as well as August. When asked what he likes about the MAC school, Elam responded “I love the campus, the coaching staff, and the amount of support the school gets.”
The junior also visited another in-state program in the MAC last month in Eastern Michigan. “It was great, they won in overtime against Kent State. The crowd and environment was amazing.”
Central Michigan was the first division one program to have offered Elam which was back in June. He also has a pair of division two offers coming from Northwood and Wayne State. Some of the other programs showing interest in him include Ball State, High Point, Toledo, Tulsa, UW-Milwaukee, and Western Michigan.
Currently for 16-3 Adrian High School, Elam is one of the leading scorers in Michigan with 30.4 points per game. During last year’s grassroots season with The Academy, he was the MVP of the 16U level of the NY2LA Association.
