Recruitment of Kruz McClure Continues to Build

Out of all the talent at the recent NY2LA Swish ‘N Dish Tournament, Kruz McClure of MR22 Elite looked to be one of the top 2025 recruits in attendance. The 6’5” wing guard of Westerville South High School (OH) currently holds a few division one offers for himself.

With the play of McClure, MR22 Elite had a few impressive wins at Swish ‘N Dish along the way to getting them all the way to the 17U gold championship game. “We ended up losing in the championship game, but we learned a lot about ourselves as a team,” McClure said about the tournament.

“Two-way all-around player,” is how McClure described his own game. “I can score at all three levels and I’m a good defender.” Throughout the tournament he scored it effectively, especially in the mid-range creating separation and using his length to get himself good looks at the rim.

To date, the skilled junior holds five offers. Eastern Michigan, Miami (OH), Ohio University, Siena, and Toledo have all offered him. As well to the mid major offers, a few high major programs are showing interest including, Clemson and Ohio State as well to some other mid major programs.

Most recently in his recruitment, McClure took a visit to Ohio State for their game against Michigan back in March. “It was awesome I got a chance to see what the next level looks like up close and also how the coaches interact with the players.”
