Even while being the leading scorer in all of Wisconsin this past season and one of the tops in entire nation, Chris Davis Jr. is still flying under the radar. During his junior season, the 6’4” guard averaged a staggering 40.8 points per game at Sun Prairie West High School. He then played with Team Herro on the EYBL during the spring and summer.
While he is under the radar for a player with his great scoring ability, he does bring a pair of division one offers into his senior season. Arkansas State was the first school to offer him doing so last July. Bryant then offered as well last summer.
Even though Davis has not received any additional offers recently, the number of programs showing interest in him continues to grow. Amongst the schools recruiting him include Belmont, Mercer, Missouri State, New Mexico, North Dakota, Samford, South Dakota, St. Louis, UW-Milwaukee, and Vermont.
After his history making season at Sun Prairie West High School, Davis is on the move for his senior season. He will be attending DME Academy at St. John’s Northwestern. “I picked DME because I wanted to get ready for the college level. That’s why I decided to go prep and play against the best almost every game we got,” Davis said about the move.
With his tremendous scoring ability, Davis could wind up being the steal of Wisconsin’s 2025 class. He should be a very popular target in the coming months at DME Academy.
