Over the past year, Josh Manchester has developed into one of the top players in Wisconsin’s 2026 class. With this, the recruitment interest for the 6’4” guard of Mount Horeb High School has started to ramp up since the fall.
In his sophomore season, Manchester is currently averaging 23.8 points per game for Mount Horeb to have them at a 15-5 record on the season. “I’m a three-level scorer,” the sophomore first said while describing his own game. “I can handle the ball, passing is one of my best skills, can get after it on the defensive end, especially on the ball.”
With this, Manchester has gotten himself on the radar of multiple high major programs. While still early in the recruitment process of the sophomore, Marquette, Minnesota, Virginia, and Wisconsin are some of the programs that have already shown interest in him.
Back during the fall, he took visits to both Minnesota and Wisconsin. He also went to Wisconsin for their game against Marquette back in December, in addition to going to one of their practices. Up next for Manchester he is planning on taking a visit to Marquette for one of their practices. When asked if there were any schools he would like to visit, he said “I would really like to visit or go to a game of all of those schools again.”
Following his sophomore season at Mount Horeb, Manchester will be playing with the Davis Brothers Elite program.
