Recruitment Heating Up For 2027 Jensen LePla

With college coaches now allowed to directly contact the 2027 class, Jensen LePla has gotten on the radar of several college coaches. This includes one from both the division one and two level for the 6’5” two guard of Goodrich High School (MI) and D Rice Elite.

On the hardwood, LePla has consistently shown his high school level and translatable tools to garner plenty of college attention. In his sophomore season, LePla averaged 18.6 points, 3.5 points, and 1.8 steals per game to earn himself AP all-state honors. Then into the grassroots season, he has been one of the top 2027 players on the NY2LA Platinum Elite throughout the spring season. This includes having averaged 20.3 points per game while shooting 59.6% from the field plus 6.8 rebounds during the May live period at the NY2LA Next Level Invitational.

Over the past couple of weeks, the schools to have reached out to LePla include Chicago State, Detroit Mercy, Eastern Michigan, Grand Valley State, and Malone. For the upcoming July live periods, LePla stated “I’d like to show college coaches that I can play at the next level with my shooting, driving, ability to play above the rim and defend four out of five positions.” Additionally, adding in, “The goal is to win NY2LA championship and gain more interest from colleges.”

With his positional size, versatility, and scoring ability, only look for the college recruitment to continue to build for LePla one of the top 2027’s in Michigan.
