Recruitment Heating Up For 2026 Tanner Bergmann

As Tanner Bergmann of Wapsie Valley High School (IA) continues to grow into his upside, the 6’8” senior post has attracted greater college interest. This follows a strong grassroots season with Drive Pro Select.

The growth in his recruitment comes with a pair of recent visits over the last few weeks. Bergmann made trips to both Loras College as well as University of Dubuque. Both of the recent visits resulted in offers for him.

“Visit was great,” Bergmann said about the Loras College visit. “I loved the coaching staff and enjoyed being able to get some runs in with the guys and getting to know them was a huge plus. They have nice facilities and are very focused on making me the best player I can be!”

“Dubuque was nice,” he said about his other recent visit. “Campus was nice and just loved to be able to walk from one side to the other in a short period of time. Coaches were awesome and very high energy! Great facilities and a very developmental program.”

In addition to those two visits, Bergmann has a few more visits coming up in the month of September. With the first being on the 2nd, he will be visiting Central College, then Buena Vista on the 8th-9th, and finally Coe College on the 30th.

“Dominant,” was one of the words the 6’8” Bergmann used to describe his own game. “I would say I’m a dominant inside threat that can get to any move I want in the paint. I can score from all three levels and have decent footwork all around. My three is great and can step out and shoot it when needed.” His outside shooting was on display during the season with Drive Pro Select including shooting 42.9% from three at the NY2LA Next Level Invitational. This was in addition to 17.5 points and 10 rebounds per game at this tournament.
