Pair Of New Offers For Trey Taylor

After entering the spring with just a single scholarship offer, Trey Taylor has continued to build his offer list. Last December, Cal State San Marcos was the first school to offer the 6’6” 2025 wing forward of Moline High School (IL) and MidPro Academy. Northern Michigan then offered him in May. He had a breakout junior season in which he was named 4A first team all-state by the IBCA as well to winning a state championship in his sophomore season.

More recently over the past couple of weeks, Taylor has added a pair of new offers for himself. This also includes his first division one offer. First, Emporia State offered the rising senior. Then a few days later Eastern Illinois also offered him.

“It feels great to achieve such a great achievement but can’t stop working when I get this one,” Taylor said about picking up his first division one offer. “I really like their staff and the head coach he’s a great guy,” he stated when talking about Eastern Illinois.

As well to his four offers, Taylor has a few other division one programs showing interest in him. The ones that are showing the most interest in him include Belmont, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Western Michigan. While Taylor has no visits currently scheduled, he is looking to visit the schools recruiting him soon.

Up next for Taylor and MidPro Academy during the division one live period is the NY2LA Summer Jam in Wisconsin. Other standout players on his MidPro Academy team are Dietrich Richardson, Leshawn Stowers, Matthew Zobrist, Kobe Walker, Braden Freeman, and Jonah Funk. For the upcoming live periods, Taylor stated “I would like to show the coaches that I can compete with any level and can play against tougher teams and can be a good teammate.”
