After a big year on the NY2LA Association, especially at the 2026 level, Wisconsin Academy will be returning to play on The Platinum Elite. For their 17U team this season, they will be returning their star duo of Jacob Hibner and Wes Rahn who both have scholarship offers. The core of this team has been together for the past four years.
Hibner started to attract interest of plenty of college coaches last summer picking up multiple division two offers. Michigan Tech, Minnesota Duluth, Northern Michigan, Rockhurst and Winona State have all offered him in addition to having many division one programs who have been showing interest in him. The 6’3” guard is a three level scorer who is currently averaging 19.6 points per game right now for Stoughton. The other part of the duo is Wes Rahn, a 6’8” forward who is averaging 18.6 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists for Lakeside Lutheran. The versatile and dominant forward who can also step out and shoot the ball has been offered by Northern Michigan and Winona State.
As well to the duo, the talent goes much further with several returners and some key additions too. Also returning is Collin Branch, a 5’10” point guard who is averaging 15.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.2 steals for Milton, who should make a formable backcourt duo with Hibner. Joining this 17U Wisconsin Academy team is 6’5” forward Hayden Reddington who is currently averaging a double-double for Berlin high school with 16.1 points and 10.5 rebounds plus 3.4 assists. Other member of the team include 6’2” guard Drew Aschliman of Mineral Point, 6’0” guard John Grimes of Middleton, 5’11” guard Nick Jacobs of Oregon, 6’3” guard Brecken Jimenez of Lakeside Lutheran, 6’0” guard Kam Nesheim of Mount Horeb, and 6’3” forward Maddox Boado of Verona High School.
