NY2LA The Platinum Elite: D Rice Elite

Making their return to NY2LA for the upcoming 2025 grassroots season is D Rice Elite who will be a part of The Platinum Elite. They will bring some highly touted players with both their 17U and 16U teams.

After being a dominant player the past two years on the NY2LA Association with D Rice Elite, Greg Grays Jr. of Brother Rice High School will be back for one more season. The 6’3” 2026 guard is an elite three level scorer with his knock down shooting ability. He recently picked up an offer from Detroit Mercy in addition to having interest from a few other division one programs including Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, and others. Joining him on the 17U team will be 2026 Jaden Brown of Chippewa Valley High School. The 6’3” wing is a great slasher, lockdown defender, as well to being a dominant rebounder.

Their 16U team will be headlined by both 6’5” two guard Jensen LePla of Goodrich High School as well to 6’10” post Kenny Towns. LePla was dominant last season with D Rice Elite as one of the top players at the 15U level on the NY2LA Association and has continued that into his sophomore season while averaging 20.5 points and 3.5 assists while shooting 56% from three. Towns is a can’t miss big with not just his great size but also his rim protecting ability, rebounding, and good touch around the rim.
