NY2LA The Platinum Elite: Chapman Basketball Academy

Next up in team announcements for this years NY2LA Platinum Elite is Chapman Basketball Academy. Over the past couple of years this Wisconsin based program has consistently produced scholarship players. Included in this group of CBA alumni are Nolan Minessale (St. Thomas), Tim Franks, (St. Thomas), Trevor Polite (Northern Michigan commit), Zach Behn (UW-Parkside commit), Luka Momcilovic (St. Thomas commit), Michael McNabb (Northern Michigan), among a few others.

With their 17U Gold Elite squad for this upcoming grassroots season, this trend should continue as this group is full of scholarship level players. After a breakout season with CBA last year, Cahlil Jones will be back with them in 2025. The 6’3” guard is one of the most explosive players in all of Wisconsin and recently just scored his 1,000th point. He is currently drawing interest from multiple division one programs including South Dakota, South Dakota State, St. Thomas, and others.

Along with Jones, is a core group that has mainly been together for the past five years. These following several players are all drawing interest from division two programs. Another highly athletic player alongside Jones Is Darrius Peete, a 6’3” guard who can both shoot and get downhill in addition to playing with great passion. It will be a very talented backcourt for CBA as it also has another talented duo with Marcus Webb who is an effective scorer both on the attack and from the outside and do-it-all Sam Richter. Providing some great inside, outside versatility will be JJ Walters, a 6’5” wing forward who is a highly skilled player.
