NY2LA The Final Chapter – DG’s 17U Top Performers Part One

There was plenty of talent at The Final Chapter. This includes some well known players with multiple division one offers as ones whose recruitment is about to take off.

Kameron Bean – 2026 – PG – West Michigan Lakers Kaman

After greatly impressing back in the May live period in Indianapolis, Bean was even better this tournament. He scored it well throughout the tournament including one of the top games of the tournament with a 29 point game but also had 22 points in another. He is incredibly quick with great acceleration getting to the rim but also scored it in the mid-range and outside with a good jumper off the dribble.

Kendall Bosby – 2026 – G – Hoops4Health

While Bosby had a breakout spring, he was playing even better this tournament. This included one of the top games of the entire tournament where he scored 26 points in addition to 19 points, 18 points, and 15 points in his others. He plays strong attacking the basket but can also be a lights out shooter from deep. He has good size in the backcourt at 6’3” and was also running the point plenty during the tournament showing his distributing with games of 6 assists and 5 assists.

Greg Grays – 2026 – PG – D Rice Elite

The game of Grays just continues to get better as he looks more and more like one of the top guards in the entire region. His scoring ability is unmatched as he was putting up some large point totals including 29 points in a game, 26 points in another, plus 21 points in a single game in another half. His shot making was on another level all weekend both from the outside and in the mid-range but he was also using his strength and physicality to get all the way to the basket and finish through contact. While the 6’2” guard already has a few division one offers, more of the them need to be looking his way.

Jack Bookter – 2026 – G – Wisconsin Legends

It was another undefeated weekend for the Legends and Bookter was a big reason for this. He went off for 27 points in a single game but also impressed throughout the tournament with 20 points in another to be one of the top scorers. More than just a scorer, he also plays smart with the ball and is a willing passer who was creating well for his teammates. While he can really shoot the ball from the outside he was also finishing strong on his drives with multiple and one plays.

Drake Medinger – 2026 – G – DCBA

Medinger was incredibly consistent throughout the tournament as one of the top scorers while averaging 17.5 points. He was a big reason why DCBA when 4-0 with some impressive wins along the way. The 6’2” guard was effective both getting to the basket and is a consistent outside shooter with a smooth jumper. He also finishes well in traffic right through contact playing big. Medinger was also consistently competing on the defensive end playing with great energy not just on the perimeter but also in the paint playing big amongst his team’s guard heavy lineup.

Colin Stack – 2026 – C – Full Package

Stack is a rare talent who continues to play at a high level. The seven-footer started the tournament in a very big way scoring 16 points in the first half of his first game and continued to play well from there. In this one half he drilled a trio of threes as he has such a smooth jumper spotting up from three but also showed some improved strength with multiple and one finishes at the basket. He is also incredibly mobile at his size moving well all weekend being able to switch onto the perimeter and defend the pick and roll.

Takis Tyler – 2026 – PG – Jay Academy

The point guard was a standout in multiple games throughout the tournament including an 18 point performance to start of the tournament. While an incredibly skilled scorer, Tyler can also make an impact in a variety of ways also recording 3 assists and 3 steals in that game. Whether it was blowing by defenders to get to the rim, spotting up for threes, or creating his own shot, Tyler was scoring it effectively. He also led a comeback attempt on Saturday with his scoring as he can quickly heat up and score points in bunches.
