NY2LA The Final Chapter – 17U Stock Boosters

Plenty of players at the 17U level of Final Chapter improving their recruitment stock with their play over the three days. Here is a sample of some of the players who helped themselves the most. 

Amaree Burries – 2025 – PG – Capital City Teamwork

The point guard was always in attack mode getting into the defense and creating. With his shiftiness and ability to change speeds, he was consistently beating defenders off the dribble. In his final game of the tournament, he showed his scoring ability on the attack with 19 points. Though also hit a three and created for his teammates getting deep into the paint and passing it well on the move. 

Matas Gaidukevicius – 2025 – SG – Team M14

Gaidukevicius scored it well throughout the tournament consistently getting into double digits scoring including a 19-point game. The wing guard can really get hot from the outside scoring 15 points in a single half while hitting three threes but also handle the ball and attack the basket. He has good size in the backcourt at 6’5” in addition to plenty of length to get his shot off with ease as well as finish around the paint. A fast-rising 2025 wing guard who also really competes on the defensive side. 

Charles Kage – 2025 – PF – The Academy

It was a big tournament for Kage with multiple standout games. This included 19 points in one game and then 14 in another in addition to impacting the game in a variety of other ways. Kage is a high upside forward standing with plenty of tools for the next level at 6’8” with good length and athleticism as well to a growing skill set. He was playing very active all tournament and with his physical tools was able to control the glass and be a true rim protector covering plenty of ground inside. The forward showed improved ability being able to score on drives and cuts as well to playing and finishing through contact. 

Isaiah Lomax – 2025 – G/F – 24Up

Over the past year Lomax has really grown his game adding a lot of new skills. A highly impactful and lengthy wing at 6’6” with his athleticism and versatile game. A versatile defender with his size but also moving well on the perimeter defending in space. Offensively, he showed the ability to be a primary ball handler, spot up for threes, but also battle strong around the basket. 

Amir Perryman – 2025 – PG – D Rice Elite

While D Rice Elite has a few talented guards, it was Perryman showing his playmaking ability in multiple games. He did take advantage of his scoring opportunities converting on a high percentage of his drives or outside jumpers, but it was his distributing and defense that lands him here. The point guard is a very skilled passer who consistently looked to distribute it out. Defensively, he was picking up full court and with his quickness was getting all over ball handlers. 

Spencer Swenson – 2025 – SF – MN Comets Elite

As well to having good size on the wings at 6’7”, Swenson has a well-rounded offensive skill set. Whether it was playing off the dribble, spotting up from three, or using his size around the paint, Swenson scored it very efficiently. He is very effective using his positional size to finish over smaller defenders, be physical to the basket, and operate in the mid-post. To open the tournament, he scored 16 points on limited shots apart of his deep team in a win. He has recently picked up a trio of division two offers this month.  

Raken Vargas – 2025 – PG – Team Temple

Over the course of the tournament, Vargas greatly impressed with both his point guard play as well to his outside shooting. In a game Saturday he scored 18 points while hitting four threes. He plays strong with the ball in his hands handling pressure as well to facilitating it very effectively. Vargas has a great sense of the court and knowing where to go with it at all times, even on the attack he reads the floor so well. 

Logan Zahour – 2025 – SG – Chapman Basketball Academy

Zahour has continued to improve his game and make an impact in a variety of ways. He was a big reason for a 3-1 tournament against a tough schedule for CBA. This included finishing the tournament off with 16 points in a win while hitting four threes. As well to being a very good shooter from the outside, he has good size and strength in the backcourt at 6’4” with some athleticism to be able to defend one through four well in addition to a well-rounded offensive game. He recently picked up an offer from UW-Parkside.
