Joseph Chapman – G – Chapman Basketball Academy
Chapman is a good size guard with a versatile game and knows how to play. He was consistently making winning plays helping CBA win the championship. A good outside shooter hitting multiple threes in a couple of game who is also a good playmaker with the ball scoring and distributing it out on the attack. Chapman was also a very tough defender both in the press and on the perimeter playing with good energy and getting all over the ball.
Juelz Cook – F – Chapman Basketball Academy
Cook was one of the most dominant players of the tournament who was always making an impact when on the floor and lead CBA to the 12U title. He was the top shot blocker of the tournament going on a block party in the semifinals. A great shot blocker inside utilizing his size, great length, and motor but also got it done on the perimeter moving so well at his size. More than a shot blocker, Cook also played well handling the ball attacking the basket to score it effectively.
Marcus Johnson – G/F – Hangtime Elite
Johnson is a do it all, stat stuffing wing. He already has some strength and plays with plenty of energy on both sides of the ball. A versatile defender playing well both inside blocking shots and rebounding in traffic in addition to moving well on the perimeter forcing turnovers. Offensively, Johnson scored it strong attacking the basket through traffic.
Chance Patti – SF – Team Herro
The small forward has well-rounded game, knows how to play, and did a bit of everything helping his team go undefeated in pool play and make it to the championship game. With his size and skills, he showed a good ability to play both in the paint and out on the perimeter. Patti scored it well going to the basket but was also very effective as a distributor with his vision, can really rebound the ball with his length and size, and is a playmaker defensively.
Griffin Winkleman – G – Team Herro
The good size guard had multiple big games during this shootout helping his team to the championship game. This included being automatic from the outside in the championship game hitting five three pointers in a 26-point outburst. In addition to his knockdown shooting, Winkleman also showed a good ability to makes plays off the dribble and be a tough defender in the press, on the perimeter, and in the paint. One of the most versatile and impactful players of the tournament.
