There was so much depth of talent at the 17U level of this weekend’s NY2LA Summer Jam tournament that the coverage keeps on coming. Here is the next group of standouts.
Angelo Diedalis – 2026 – PF – Nova Village
It was another standout tournament for Diedalis after his play earlier this month at Final Chapter. He is a tough, 6’6” power forward but also showed a well-rounded game. While he played strong inside, bigger than his listed height, both finishing the ball and being physical going for rebounds, Diedalis was also effective out on the perimeter. He proved to be a consistent spot up shooter plus moves well with the ball attacking the basket at his size.
Sean Halpin – 2026 – G – Midwest Bobcats
Halpin is an under the radar name who showed a very high skill set highlighted by his shot making ability. The 6’2” guard is a confident shooter from both the outside as well as pulling-up in the mid-range. In a one-point win on Saturday he scored 19 points while hitting a trio of threes as well to some mid-range jumpers. He moves well handling the ball but also moves well off the ball to create good looks for himself. Halpin is also a smart guard who sees the floor well and knows how to play.
Avonn King – 2026 – G/F – ALL IN Athletics Figueroa
King has been a constant presence in these tournament articles as he just continues to make plays game after game. At Summer Jam, this included games of 18 points and 17 points, but he is also getting on this list with everything else he does. He was making several key plays down the stretch of a tight win Sunday including a help block, an assist, and pair of interior buckets all in the final minutes. He is 6’4” but plays even bigger inside with his strength and energy in addition to continuing to show greater ability to handle the ball and make plays of the dribble.
Mareon Knott – 2026 – SF – Michigan Playmakers
Knott was a big reason why his Playmakers team advanced to the platinum final four. He was consistently making a huge impact whether that was putting up double-doubles, locking down anyone on the floor, or leading them with 21 points in a win. He was consistently scoring in double figures with his physicality around the paint finishing but also with his reliable mid-range pull-up game, in addition to hitting some threes. He was continuously knocking down shots in the mid-range using his physicality to create space, improved handle, and smooth jumper. As his skills continue to catch up to his strength and energic play, Knott is a highly impactful player who wins teams games.
Juju Moore – 2025 – G – Drive Pro Select
There are a lot of aspects to like from the game of Moore including his scoring ability which was showcased with a 19-point game on Saturday. While he hit a couple of threes, Moore excelled on the attack both finishing around the paint as well as hitting a couple of pull up mid-range jumpers. He can run the point but also has some size in the backcourt at 6’3” in addition to playing with plenty of energy and his athleticism.
Bryce Peters – 2026 – PG – Region Force
Peters is a true playmaking point guard who excels on the attack. He has a great ability to get into the defense and create for others with his vision and quick decision making on the attack. Though, the shifty point guard also scored it efficiently himself both finishing amongst traffic inside as well as creating in the mid-range.
Marquan White – 2026 – PG – Michigan Warriors
With the play of White, the Warriors were able to advance all the way to the platinum championship game. This was from both his scoring ability which included 21 points in the semifinals victory but also his distributing ability. Part of the 21 points were free throws with 8 seconds remaining to seal the win and send them to the title game. While White was consistently hitting threes, he is so tough to defend on the attack. He moves quick with the ball, passes it well off the dribble, plays strong with the ball, finishes with either hand effectively around the paint, and plays well in the pick and roll.
