Moses Wilson Picks Up First Offer

There have been several players in Illinois recently to pick up their first scholarship offer and one of these was Moses Wilson. Following a breakout spring with Team M14 and good start to the June season with Waubonsie Valley High School, the lengthy and explosive 6’5” wing guard received a division two offer over the weekend.

The offer for Wilson came from Michigan Tech following a call with their head coach Josh Buettner. “Feels great to get my first offer definitely happy with it,” he said about receiving his first scholarship offer. When talking about Michigan Tech, Wilson responded “I like their campus and the coaching staff are very great guys.”

As well to the first offer, Wilson has schools from multiple levels showing interest in him. Amongst the schools showing the most interest include Cal Poly, Northern Michigan, North Park, and UW-Platteville.

“Playmaker who gets team involved, great on and off ball player defensively, and a very athletic wing,” Wilson said describing his own game. Throughout the spring he proved to be one of the bounciest players on the NY2LA Association. He was a big part of all the success of Team M14 this spring helping them go 3-1 at the NY2LA Next Level Invitational during the May live period. As well to winning the gold championship a couple weeks earlier at the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza. “Great playing with M14, very fun, had a time with guys.”
