MADISON EAST VS SUN PRAIRIE WEST STANDOUTS

In a very high scoring game, Madison East was able to defeat Sun Prairie West 101-96. While the game was close throughout, Madison East always seemed to have an answer for every run of Sun Prairie West to consistently stay out in front all game long.

Tavian Crawford – 2025 – PG – Sun Prairie West

Davis may get much of the attention on this Sun Prairie West team, but there is much to like from the game of Crawford too. While the junior scored 24 points, he also impacted the game in a variety of ways. Crawford is an explosive guard that played well on the attack getting all the way to the basket, pulling up in the mid-range, and creating for his teammates. On the other end, he plays with great energy defending the ball and rebounds well as a guard battling tough against bigger opponents.

Chris Davis Jr. – 2025 – SG – Sun Prairie West

While he may not have hit the 61-point mark he did recently, Davis still put up plenty of points in this one leading the game with 34 points. The 6’5” guard did hit some shots in the mid-range and outside but did the majority of his damage while playing on the attack. The electric scorer moves well with the ball and has some burst to be incredibly tough to stop once he got going downhill. He can beat defenders in so many ways playing through contact or using his moves to go around them. With his many paint touches all game long he finished the ball effectively all around the basket utilizing his positional size and good length. While Davis does currently have a couple of offers for himself coming from Arkansas State and Bryant, look for that list to grow.

Camron Henderson – 2024 – PG – Madison East

It was a big performance from the available senior who scored 32 points in the tight win continuing his big season. Henderson is a skilled scorer who excels with the ball in his hands. Whether from the outside hitting shots or attacking the basket, Henderson is a highly skilled scorer. He has a good ability to create his own shot from the outside in addition to shooting it at a high percentage spotting up from three but also got all the way to the basket often with his shifty moves. Henderson looks to be one of the better available 2024 guards in his area with his knack for scoring the basketball.

Demond Laongoen – 2024 – PG – Madison East

In addition to the senior scoring 24 points, the unselfish guard impressed just as much with his distributing ability. He played exceptionally well with the ball in his hands with his ability to handle pressure, basketball IQ, good moves to beat defenders all game, and great vision seeing the floor to create for his teammates. Laongoen hit a couple of threes including one from a few steps beyond the line, the senior did most of his scoring getting all the way to the basket. On his many paint touches, he is a crafty finisher as well to scoring through contact playing strong.
