The newest player from Wisconsin’ 2025 class to receive his first scholarship offer recently was Luka Momcilovic. Not only did the 6’7” forward of Pewaukee High School (WI) and Chapman Basketball Academy receive his first offer but also his second. During his sophomore he averaged 8.4 points and helped Pewaukee win a state championship.
The first offer came from Michigan Tech on a visit last week. A day later on another visit he received his second offer, this one from Northern Michigan University. “It feels amazing to pick up my first two offers,” Momcilovic said. “It’s been a dream of mine to play at the next level. It motivates me more than anything to keep working hard towards my potential as I know I have only scratched the surface so far.”
When asked about his pair of visits, the junior said they went very well. “I really liked the coaches from each school as they both seemed very invested in me. At Michigan Tech I was able to spend some time with the players. I really liked the team atmosphere. Coach Buettner was very open and straightforward and was very easy to talk to. At Northern Michigan I got to talk more about how they see me playing in their system. Coach Majkrzak talked about my current skills that can easily translate to the next level.”
While the junior had a solid spring with Chapman Basketball Academy, he greatly stepped up his game to another level in the summer with them. He is a stretch forward with his smooth jumper from the outside and can also score it strong around the basket. As well to his two offers, Momcilovic is also receiving interest from both division one and two programs. Among the schools are Green Bay, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, North Dakota State, Parkside, Upper Iowa, and Wayne State.
