Lincoln Williams Breaks Down Illinois Visit

Over the weekend, Illinois got a visit from one of the top in-state juniors. This came from Lincoln Williams, a 6’6” wing guard of Kankakee High School and the Mac Irvin Fire.

“The visit was good,” Williams said about his trip to the Big Ten school. “I got to talk to all the players and meet all the coaches.” On his thoughts on their basketball program, he said “I liked everything about Illinois, the way they practice, the way players are being coached. I can tell they have a lot of structure.” Williams was offered by Illinois back in February.

As well to his recent Illinois visit, he has also taken one to DePaul. His current offer list includes Arizona State, Bryant, DePaul, Eastern Illinois, Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois, TCU, UNLV, Western Illinois, and Virginia Tech, in addition to his Illini offer.

Williams is coming off of a sophomore season in which he was second team all-state at the 3A level by the IBCA. Now into his junior season, he is looking to win Gatorade Player of the Year and Mr. Basketball.
