Keenan Garner Breaks Down Recruitment

Over the past year, Keenan Garner has continued to build his recruitment stock. Early in 2023 he had mainly NAIA programs recruiting him and now he has developed to the point where he has multiple division one offers for himself.

The most recent offer for the 6โ€™6โ€ senior forward of Fishers High School (IN) came earlier this week from IUPUI. Quickly after becoming the new head coach at IUPUI, Paul Corsaro extended an offer to Garner. Corsaro had previously recruited and offered Garner when he was the head coach at University of Indianapolis. โ€œI like IUPUI because they have a good coach and developing a good culture,โ€ he said about his most recent offer.

The other division one programs to have already offered him are Bradley, Eastern Illinois, and Southern Illinois Edwardsville. The other schools to be currently recruiting him include Furman, Illinois State, Kent State, and Wright State.

Currently in his senior season, Garner is averaging 16.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. With this he was named to the IBCA Senior Supreme 15 list in addition to having Fishers at a 28-1 record currently. Up next for Garner and Fishers is the class 4A state championship game on Saturday up against Ben Davis High School.

Up next in his recruitment is a planned visit to Furman. While he has no set date for a commitment, he is looking towards the middle of April to make his decision.
