Josh Manchester Trending Upwards in Junior Season

To start off his junior season, Josh Manchester has been one of the leading scorers in all of Wisconsin. Five games into the high school season, the 6’4” guard is averaging 34.6 points per game to help Mount Horeb be undefeated currently.

In each of his five games this season, Manchester has scored at least 25 points. It includes a season high 43 points scored which he scored in a one-point win over Stoughton last week. He followed that game up with another high scoring output of 36 points, which was his most recent game. For the rest of his season, Manchester is looking to “Win a conference title, make it to state, just keep getting better every day.”

Prior to the high school season, Manchester took a few college visits during the fall. This included ones to Marquette, DePaul, and Minnesota. For the visit to the in-state program, he said “Marquette visit was great, really great atmosphere, plan on getting down to a couple more games this year.”

“DePaul has a whole new staff so it’s great to see their success early this year, Coach Holtman is doing a great job with them,” he said on the visit to the Big East school. “Coach Kemp from Minnesota has been really good with connecting with me over the last two years. Plan on getting up to a game there in January,” he said on the Minnesota visit. Manchester also took a visit to North Dakota State and was planning on a visit to Drake but could not because of scheduling.

Next up for Manchester and Mount Horeb is the WBY Shootout where they will put their undefeated record on the line with matchup against Notre Dame and then Greendale following Christmas.
