Jordan Williams Picks Up First Two Offers

From his play in his sophomore season at Fremd and now early into the grassroots season with Midwest Renegade, Jordan Williams has been one of the biggest stock risers in Illinois’ 2026 class. During the high school season, the 6’5” wing averaged 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. More recently he was one of the top players at the 16U level of the NY2LA Swish ‘N Dish Tournament helping lead his team to the semifinals.

“I’m playing with the most confidence I’ve had and performing well with teammates and coaches who support me,” Williams said about how his season is going so far with the Midwest Renegade. “A goal I’ve been working towards is adding a three-point game and actually shooting them which has been going very well for me and I will continue to do so. Looking forward to improving my skills even more as the season goes on.”

With the growth of his game and success of his play on the court, Williams has picked up his first pair of division one offers in recent weeks. Both Cal State Northridge and Iona have extended offers to the sophomore. “It feels great to pick up two offers. I’m very grateful to be in the position I am with a great circle around me but there’s a lot more work to do.” Some of the additional schools to have shown interest in him include Incarnate Word, Loyola Chicago, Western Illinois, among others.

When asked about his game, Williams called himself a point forward “who like to slash or be a versatile big.” Recently at Swish ‘N Dish, he showed great versatility and impactful play. Not only did he show a much improved outside jumper but also good playmaking with the ball in his hands. “I feel like my vision and passing skills have been doing me good. I like to shoot the mid-range shot a lot or drive. I’m a tough finisher who can finish through contact or draw a foul. I also like to drive and kick to draw the defender and dish it out. I think my defense has been improving…working towards becoming a consistent three level scorer.”
