John Simpson Nearing A College Commitment

As he has received another scholarship offer, John Simpson is nearing a college commitment. The newest offer for the 6’6” senior small forward of Groves High School and the Michigan Playmakers came from Northwood University.

In addition to the Northwood University offer that he received last week, Simpson also holds another division two offer from Central State which he received a few weeks earlier. Along with Simpson, Northwood also offered his Michigan Playmakers teammates Joshua Gibson last week as well. The other programs recruiting Simpson include Ferris State, Ohio Dominican, Wayne State, plus an offer from Oakland Community College.

When speaking about the most recent school to offer him, Simpson said “I like the campus especially what they did with the gym they had some stuff done. Also, the staff they all seem pretty cool especially Coach Bullinger. I have been talking with him ever sense AAU started this year, he’s a cool guy.”

For the other division two program to offer him of Central State, Simpson said “I really like Coach Lewis, he’s a great guy. Got a chance to meet some of the team probably some of the funniest guys I met.”

Next up for Simpson is a visit to Ferris State this upcoming Saturday. He said that he wants to “definitely” make his college commitment by the end of this month.
