Jaxson Davis Makes Visit to Illinois

Illinois recently got a visit from not just one of the top in-state 2027 players but also one of the top in the nation. This came from Jaxson Davis, the point guard of Warren Township High School and Meanstreets.

“The visit was very nice and a fun experience,” Davis said about his trip to the Big Ten school. The visit took place this past weekend. When talking about the Illinois program, he said “I like the hype around the program and the play style they play in.”

Davis has also previously visited Marquette and plans on taking visits coming up to both Indiana and Northwestern. He was already offered by Illinois back in December during his sensational freshman season. His other offers include Arizona State, Eastern Illinois, and Northwestern. As well to his offers, some of the new schools to start recruiting him include DePaul, Iowa, Marquette, and Oklahoma.

Davis had one of the best freshman seasons in Illinois in recent years. As well to being named first team all-state, he also helped lead Warren Township advance to the super-sectionals. In his upcoming sophomore season, he has the goal to “simply win.” Adding in “I know all the individual accolades will come in with winning.”
