In his first grassroots season last year, Cahlil Jones burst onto the scene while playing with Chapman Basketball Academy. The explosive 6’2” rising senior guard of Germantown High School (WI) has continued progress his game and improve his recruitment stock from there.
During his junior season at Germantown, Jones earned first team all-conference honors in the Greater Metro. He did this while averaging 20.2 points per game while shooting 58.3% from the field. He also added in a well-rounded stat line of 4.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.1 steals. This continued into this grassroots season with Chapman Basketball Academy which included being one of the top players at the NY2LA Midwest Classic D2 Showcase where he averaged 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.7 steals. “My season was great with CBA, had a great team, great coaches, and we played really well,” Jones said about his grassroots season.
With his play between Chapman Basketball Academy and Germantown, Jones has gotten himself on the radar of plenty of programs both on the division one and two level. Amongst these schools are Eastern Michigan, Jamestown, Malone, Michigan Tech, Milwaukee, Oakland, Rockhurst, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, St. Cloud State, Western Michigan, and others.
Next up for Jones is a pair of visits. He will be taking visits to both Michigan Tech and St. Cloud State soon.
