Interest Building For 2026 Adam Flowers

An under the radar talent in Illinois’ 2026 class who is starting to see his recruitment greatly build is Adam Flowers. The 6’3” point guard of Downers Grove South and Mercury Elite is receiving interest from colleges on all levels in addition to recently taking a visit to an in-state division two program.

The visit for Flowers was to Illinois-Springfield. “I had a great time on campus, and I really enjoyed it a lot,” he said about the visit. As well to Illinois-Springfield, the rising senior is also seeing some interest from some other division two programs as well as division one programs too. Amongst these schools are Central Michigan, Emporia State, St. Cloud State, and UIC.

“The season was a good learning experience for me and showing me different ways to win and get the job done with my team,” Flowers said about his grassroots season with Mercury Elite. Throughout the spring and summer, he had multiple standout tournaments. He started the season in a big way at NY2LA Swish N’ Dish back in April where he averaged 23.7 points per game and 3.7 assists. He was the leading scorer of the entire tournament at the 17U level doing so while shooting 56.3% from the field. He was very effective all season long averaging 14 or more points at the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza, Next Level Invitational, and Final Chapter as well. This is addition to being one of the leading distributors at the Final Chapter with 5.3 assists per game.

When asked to describe his own game, Flowers said “An unguardable scorer at will, scrappy and a killer.” Not only does he have great positional size in the backcourt at 6’3” but also good point guard tools with his ability to create for others in addition to three level scoring ability. Next up for him in his senior season Flowers is looking to get down state for the state finals as well as “open eyes that didn’t see who I was before.”
