Girls Stars of the Week – 12/17

A ton of well-rounded stat lines over the past week of hoops in addition to a couple of school record performances.

Natalie Kussow had a purely dominant games from all aspect for Arrowhead. The junior guard lit up the scoreboard with 39 points but also had 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 8 steals.  

6’2” Junior Landrie Callahan had a pair of the biggest stat lines of the week with two double-doubles. The first one was 32 points with 12 rebounds followed up by a 27 point and 15 rebound game with 4 blocks.

Along with Callahan, another player from the Midwest Elite program to have a stellar week was Lily Sizemore. The sophomore had a pair of high scoring games with 28 points (5 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 steals) and then went for 26 points (4 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals).

Winona State commit Eva Brooks had a simply dominant stat line. As well to scoring 30 points the senior also had a remarkable 20 rebounds plus 5 blocks, 3 assists, and 3 steals.

Kylie Schultz set the school record at Elkhorn for assists last week. This came with a staggering 16 assists performance for the junior.

Another school record setting performance was set by sophomore Miley Brotzel. She set Amery’s school record for made threes with seven in a game.

The huge sophomore season continued for Taji Alexa with one of her best games of the season for Mother McAuley. The guard dropped 30 points but also had 13 rebounds and 5 steals.

Junior Angelina Ippolito had one of the more clutch performances of the past week scoring 26 points in the second half of a win for Salt Fork with a total of 35 points in the game.

Nevaeh Wright had one of the most well-rounded games of the week for Joliet Central. The junior guard not only scored 25 points but also went for 6 rebounds and 6 steals.

2026 Ava Wagner put up a big time double-double with 26 points and 14 rebounds. This was along with 4 blocks. She also had another double-double during the week with 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Along with Wagner, another Wisconsin Truth player to have a big week on the court was Bronte Hulberg. The junior put up a whopping 34 points in addition to 5 rebounds and 4 assists in a win for Pardeeville.

Junior guard Brianna Wilkins scored 26 points but also had 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals in one of the most well-rounded stat lines of the week.

The rare 20 point-20 rebound game was accomplished by 6’2” sophomore Addison Schmidt for Rice Lake.
