Girls Stars of the Week – 1/12

What a week it was one the court which included a fifty point game as well as some of the most absurd stat stuffing performances of the season including a quadrable-double.

The top scoring performance of the week came from Maddyn Greenway. The Kentucky commit broke the 50 point total when she scored 51 points in a win for Providence Academy (MN)

Minnesota commit Tori Oehrlein continues to put up some of the most stat stuffing performances from anyone in the region or entire nation. In her first game of the past week the senior guard went for 30 points, 21 assists, 12 rebounds, and 12 steals. She followed that up with 31 points, 16 rebounds, and 18 assists in her next game for Crosby-Ironton High School (MN).

While just a sophomore, Ava Johnson had another double-double for Kankakee High School (IL). This was included 30 points along with 11 rebounds. She also had another double-double over the past several days with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Ally Poegel set a couple of school records for Genoa Kingston. The Wartburg commit did this when she scored a whopping 42 points while making 16 field goals.

Sophomore guard Macey O’Brien had herself a triple double for Columbus Catholic (IA) while also breaking the 40 point mark. This included 41 points, 14 rebounds, 16 steals, and 4 assists.

There was a second player during the past week plus to also score 42 points. This came from junior Izzy Eisbach who hit seven threes in the game.

Nikki Kerstein has continued to show she’s one of the top guards in the entire region with another big performance. The Missouri commit scored 30 points plus added in 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.

Another sophomore from this article putting up some big numbers is Lilyan Sizemore. Over the past week, she had back-to-back 30 plus point games.

Avery Blue set a pair of school records for Memorial High School (WI). This included scoring 34 points as well to hitting ten three pointers.

Junior Kylie Schultz was doing a bit of everything Elkhorn High School (WI). The guard finished with 24 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 steals.

Lexi Baer continues her big junior season showing she is one of the top guards in Illinois. This week included a 32 point performance where she hit seven threes. Baer also added in 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal.

Nisha Musunuri makes her way here for both a single game accomplishment as well as a career one. In a 32 point game for the Carnegie Mellon commit, the senior scored her 1,000th career point.

As well to having a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds, junior guard Ava Koch also had 8 steals and 6 assists for Omro High School (WI).

Maya Layton had a near triple-double for herself while also scoring 30 points plus grabbing 8 rebounds and coming up with 9 steals for Lafayette Jeff High School (IN).

While just a sophomore Taji Alexa has made this stars of the week article a few times this season. This time she made it for a double-double with 31 points and 11 rebounds.

Freshman guard Norah Kling was doing it all for Eau Claire Memorial High School (WI) in a win. Along with her 17 point, 14 rebound double-double she also added in 5 assists and 5 rebounds.

As well to scoring 32 points, junior Alyvia McCorkle also added in 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals for Bettendorf High School (IA).

In just her sophomore season, Kenzie Koch set the school record for points score in a game for Eastern Hancock (IN) when she put up 41 points.

For Arrowhead High School (WI), 2026 Natalie Kussow had 33 points in addition to 9 rebounds.
