Girls Recruitment News – September 2nd

As the temperature cools down in September, the recruitment news is starting to heat up. Plenty of commitments from across the regions over the past week!

A big commitment that came out of Illinois just today was from Megan Ganschow. The 6’2” post of Downers Grove South and Illinois Lady Lightning announced her commitment to Wright State. Some of the other schools to have offered her included Army, Loyola Maryland, Maryville, Mercyhurst, and UT Martin.

From the ALL IN program, Jillian DeFranza had made her college pick. The senior guard of Regina Dominican has selected Texas Women’s University. The commitment comes after the division two program offered her back on a visit in June.

Prospect High School and Wolverinas senior Alli Linke has announced her college pick. After receiving a lengthy list of division one offers from programs nationwide, she will be headed to Murray State.

Mac Irvin Fire and Washington Community senior Dani Guedet will be headed over to Indiana with her commitment. This comes with her commitment to Valpo who had offered back in June of this year.

Also out of Illinois, Madelyn Kiper made her commitment. The 6’1” senior wing of Team M14 and Minooka Community High School will be headed to Kent State next year.

Pepperdine came into Illinois to land a commitment from Landrie Callahan, a senior forward of Morris High School and Midwest Elite. She chose them over offers from Seattle, Roosevelt, Cleveland State, SIUE, and others.

Another commitment to a division one program came from Londyn Parker. The senior guard of the Della Lamb program will be headed out west to Arizona State. She chose them over a lengthy list of high major offers that included Oklahoma, SMU, Mississippi State, Baylor, Ole Miss, Missouri, among others.

Natalie Kussow is another highly touted player in the region over the holiday weekend who announced her commitment to a high major program. The Wisconsin Lakers and Arrowhead senior guard will be playing in the Big Ten next year with her commitment to Minnesota. This is a major addition for the Gophers in landing the Gatorade Player of the Year out of Wisconsin.

Another commitment from the Wisconsin Lakers program was from Jenna Kuehn. The 6’1” post of Oak Creek High School will be staying in-state with her choice of UW-Stevens Point.

It was a big few days for UW-Stevens Points program. They also landed a commitment from senior guard Grace Grunloh of Aurora Central Catholic and Greater Purpose Athletics.

From Indiana Elite Havoc and Effingham St. Anthony, senior guard Nancy Ruholl had announced her commitment to Spring Arbor University.

Marley Carbonaro, a senior of the Illinois Rockets and Wheaton Warrenville South, will be headed up to Wisconsin with her commitment The 6’ post has selected UW-Whitewater.

From the Minnesota Suns and Prescott High School, Violet Otto had made her commitment to St. Cloud State.

After plenty of commitments, we take a look at a few offers. Avani Williams, a sophomore guard/forward of Fenwick High School and Chicago Hoops Express pulled one in from Southern Indiana.

Junior Awut Alic is starting to put together a lengthy list of division one offers. The Wisconsin Blaze product has added an offer from Omaha.

As one of the top 2027 guards in the entire Midwest, Paityn London has an incredibly long list of division one offers. The newest for the Mac Irvin Fire junior is from Toledo.

Following a visit to Illinois State, sophomore Brooklyn Schlib of Team M14 and St. Charles East has been offered by the Red Birds,
