Girls Recruitment News – September 23rd

Plenty of offers as well as a few commitments over the past seven days to catch up on.

It has been a busy month of commitments from the Wisconsin Lakers program to scholarship level schools. The newest one came from senior forward Graycin Phillips of Waunakee High School who made her pledge to Grand Valley State.

Over the past several years, Vermont has continued to recruit the state of Indiana very well for a program located all the way in the northeast. This has continued into the 2026 class as they have landed a commitment from guard Emma Schoen of Silver Creek (IN) and the West Virginia Thunder.

Another senior out of Indiana who will be headed east with their commitment to a D1 school is Marley Jeffers. The forward of Pike High School and Always 100 has committed to Maryland Eastern Shore.

Eastern Illinois went into Wisconsin to land a commitment from the 2026 class. This came from Alahnna Simpson, a guard of La Crosse Central and Team Prime.

Another scholarship offer recently for junior Emy Wardle this month. The Heart of Illinois product was offered by Lindenwood last week after being offered by Southern Indiana earlier this month.

Evansville has extended an offer out to McKenzie Chapman, a junior point guard of Zionsville High School and the Indiana Basketball Club.

Brooklyn Schilb, a sophomore guard of Team M14 and St. Charles East, continues to be a popular target amongst D1 programs. After being offered by Illinois State and Murray State last month, she has now been offered by Eastern Illinois.

Another Team M14 player picking up an in-state D1 offer was Greta Thompson. The senior guard of Fremd High School got hers from Northern Illinois.

Coe College was able to pick up a 2026 commitment out of Illinois. This came from Ella Schremser of Belvidere North and the Midwest Wildcats.

Following a visit to Millikin, senior guard Sarah Palmer of ALL IN Athletics and Wauconda High School has received an offer from the in-state program.

Sophomore Suzy Perego continues to add to her impressive list of offers. The newest one for the sophomore of the Always 100 program and Homestead High School came from Purdue Fort Wayne.

Senior Alexa Rattray continues to draw plenty of interest from Midwest programs with another offer. the De Pere and Wisconsin Legends guard has now added an offer from University of Dubuque. Another senior guard from the Wisconsin Legends pulling in an offer was Ella Verbeten, with hers coming from UW-Platteville.

Wisconsin Lutheran College extended an offer to an in-state post in Ava Strasser, a senior of Oshkosh West and Wisconsin Blaze. One more senior from the Blaze getting an offer was Mykayla Steuber, which came from St. Scholastica.

Brookfield East and Wisconsin Impact junior, Josie Piurkowski has picked up an offer from Michigan Tech.
