After being one of the top players on the GNBA over the past couple of years with MidPro Academy, Kayden Turner is now on to the high school level. The guard will be starting up his freshman season at Metamora High School (IL) later this month.
Two seasons ago with MidPro Academy, Turner stood out with both his scoring and shooting ability. Even after a standout season, this past season his game grew in a big way. Not only did his skill set become much more well-rounded but he also grew up to 6’2”. This included turning into a true point guard. As not only can he create for himself very effectively but also showed a very good ability to distribute the basketball. As well to a very advanced skill set for a player yet to start high school, he plays with great feel and instincts. This was especially clear at the NY2LA Generation Next Invitational back in May where he led his team to an undefeated 4-0 weekend while both scoring and distributing the ball at a high rate.
Then in June he made the move to the high school level with ease where he was a standout at the Riverside Brookfield Shootout with Metamora as one of the top 2028 players. This included a twenty-one-point game which included seven made threes. As he progresses onto the high school stage, Turner will be one for college coaches to be familiar with moving forward.
