Get To Know – 2028 Jase Navis

While Wisconsin’s 2028 class may not have the same star power as its 2027 class, there are certainly a few stars who college coaches will want to be familiar with. One of the these being Jase Navis of Mauston High School and Wisconsin Academy. Early on in his high school career, he has already claimed his spot as not just one of the top players in Wisconsin’s 2028 class but also the Midwest.

Not only did Navis lead Mauston in scoring this season but also in rebounds, assists, and blocks as well. The stat line for the 6’5” wing guard was 21.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. With this staggering stat line, he earned himself first team all-conference honors in the South Central Conference. The freshman was the only non-senior to make the team. He only got better throughout the season as he finished it off with a 39-point game.

When asked about all the success he had over the course of the season, Navis said “I was fortunate to play on a varsity team that accepted me as a freshman and I was able to excel in the role that I played on my high school team. I have worked hard to prepare to play at this level and improve every aspect of my game through aau and qualified trainers.

Ball handling, passing, and driving in the paint, Navis mentioned as the strengths to his game. “It is just as important to me to set up a teammate for an open shot as it is to score on my possession. I am a very versatile player, and I am able to play any position the coach needs me to be in. I am proud of how far my mental game has come and my ability to stay positive and clam under pressure.” Like many young high schoolers, he is looking to improve his strength as well to becoming a more “verbal leader on my team.”

“To continue to develop and push myself in all areas of my game,” said about his upcoming grassroots season with Wisconsin Academy. “I look forward to continuing to learn from my aau coach and trainer. I am looking forward to playing basketball with my aau teammates and I am hopeful we will have a winning season.”
