After an extremely strong freshman class last year in Wisconsin with Dooney Johnson, Donovan Davis, Jalen Brown, among many others, taking a look at this incoming freshman class Jaquan Turner is one to know. Even before reaching high school, Turner greatly impressed with his play during his time with Team Herro.
This was especially true back in June at the GNBA Championships where he led Team Herro to a 14U championship. The 6’3” wing was dominant throughout the entire tournament helping his team win it all. The first thing that stands out in his game is his great athleticism. He is extremely bouncy throwing down several highlight reel dunks during the tournament and also uses it to be a real standout on the defensive end as a shutdown defender. Though his game goes much further than just his explosiveness. Even before starting his high school career, he already has a well-rounded game, is a real competitor, and knows how to play. As well, Turner is slasher who is also a highly skilled passer and can knock down the three.
While it is early, Turner looks like he has all the tools to be one of the top, if not top, prospects in Wisconsin’s 2028 class. He should be on college coaches’ radars early and will be one to watch this upcoming high school season with Oak Creek.
