A quick rising prospect in Wisconsin’s 2027 class is Zeke Zuberbuhler. Following a strong grassroots season with the Wisconsin Swing where he helped them be one of the top 15U teams on the NY2LA Association, the 6’2” guard is having a breakout season at Darlington High School.
“It was an incredible experience,” Zuberbuhler called his first season with the Swing. “I loved the high level of competition and the opportunity to play alongside such talented teammates. On the court, I made a significant impact on both ends, consistently scoring in double digits and being trusted to guard the opposing team’s best player.”
“Athleticism, skill, and physicality,” is how the guard first described his game. “As a scorer, I am able to get to the basket and finish off two feet, as well as shoot the 3 at a high rate. As a playmaker, I enjoy getting teammates opportunities off of slashes to the rim. Defensively, I can guard multiple positions because of my strength and quickness.”
Now into his sophomore season, the game of Zuberbuhler has only continued to greatly build. After making an impact off the bench as a freshman with 6.1 points per game, he has now become their leading scorer as just a sophomore. Currently, he is averaging 20.2 points along with 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 2.6 steals per game for 6-2 Darlington.
“I would have to say more confidence, opportunity, and all the off-season work I put in,” Zuberbuhler credited to his breakout high school season. “This year I had to step in a bigger role with four out of five starters graduating, which put me in a great position to succeed. Also, I think the rigor of our Swing schedule contributed a great deal.” For the rest of the season, he is looking to keep elevating his game as well as making a “run in the tournament”.
