Get To Know – 2027 Mike Rogers Jr.

Among Wisconsin’s very deep and talented 2027 class, Mike Rogers Jr. continues to rank amongst the top point guards in the state’s sophomore class. He had a standout grassroots season with Team Herro this past spring and summer and has continued that high level of play into his sophomore season with Homestead High School.

Right now, in his sophomore season Rogers is currently averaging 13 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.2 steals per game for 7-2 Homestead High School. As he has progressed in the season, his game has only grown. In his last pair of games, Rogers went for 21 points with 5 rebounds and 5 assists and followed that up with a 17 point, 4 rebound, and 3 assist game. In both of those games, he led Homestead in scoring.

With his play, Rogers has already earned himself a couple of scholarship offers even while only being in his sophomore season. Back in August, Hawaii Hilo was the first program to offer him a scholarship. Quickly following that, he was able to pick up his first division one offer coming from Milwaukee. As well, Rogers also has interest from numerous other division one programs. Back in October, he took his first college visit making the trip to Miami (OH).

As well to flourishing on the court, Rogers also has off it. In his most recent trimester, he finished with a 3.4 GPA. As well, the sophomore participates in the Black Student Union at his high school in addition to being an Adaptive Aid Assistant with the Best Buddies program, a non-profit assisting those with developmental disabilities.
