Get To Know – 2026 Mareon Knott

After missing the first few games of his junior season, Mareon Knott has continued to make up for the missed time. From his play with the Michigan Playmakers last year now into his season at King High School, the 6’4” wing forward has continued to build his game.

On the season, Knott is averaging 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. This included him coming up in the clutch scoring 17 points to lead King to the championship game recently of the Detroit PSL. While they came up short in the championship game, Knott is now looking towards the next tournament. “My goal for the rest of my high school season is to lead my team to a state championship.”

Knott is an intriguing player with his physicality and high energy play to be a playmaker on both ends of the floor. He is a versatile defender who can matchup with multiple positions effectively, is a tough rebounder, and has a versatile offensive skill set. “My IQ for the game, also my toughness and I believe that just adds on what I can also do on the court,” he said on what he offers a college program.

With all this, the recruitment of Knott has still been limited. He is just starting to see some college interest with one of those schools who has been reaching out being Wayne State. In his upcoming grassroots season, he is looking for his Michigan Playmakers to go undefeated as well to growing his college interest.
