Following a breakout grassroots season with the Wisconsin Swing, Garrett Crull is showing all the tools to be one of the top guards in Wisconsin’s 2027 class. The 6’3” guard was one of the top guards at the 15U level of the NY2LA Association this past season.
During the season, Crull helped the Swing win the NY2LA Sports Invitational. He was key in their championship run where he scored fifteen points in the second half of the semifinals game and then followed that up with a staggering thirty-point performances in the championship game. Crull was also tremendous at the NY2LA Final Chapter to finish off the season where he helped the Swing to an undefeated 4-0 tournament. “It was great I really enjoyed playing against higher level competition and I feel like playing better competition made me a better player,” Crull said about his season.
“I would describe my game as versatile,” Crull first said when talking about his own game. “I can score, set guys up to score, rebound and guard the best players on the other team. I feel like I have an all-around game and scoring wise I can score at all three levels.” In addition to these aspects of his game, he has tremendous upside with his positional size at 6’3” in addition with his ability to run the point.
After being offensive player of the year as a quarterback in his football season at McFarland High School, his basketball season is next up. “Team wise I think we can compete with anybody in the state, and I feel like I can be a leader for our team. Personally, I’m looking forward to playing against some of the best players in the state who are in our conference and showing that I’m at that level too,” Crull said.
