After just announcing his top three on Monday, Jalen Haralson has announced his commitment this evening. Notre Dame was able win the services of the five star, 6’7” 2025 wing of La Lumiere and the Indy Heat. On the EYBL this year with the Indy Heat, he averaged 21.2 points to rank sixth in scoring at the 17U level along with 7.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.
Notre Dame was able to beat out Indiana and Michigan State who also made up his top three schools. Haralson had previously been offered as well by a lengthy list of high major programs included a few blue blood programs. Alabama, Duke, Gonzaga, Illinois, Kansas, Ohio State, Purdue, Wisconsin, among many others had also offered him previously.
His commitment comes after he took his official visit to the South Bend school earlier this month. Notre Dame had offered him back in April of last year. The offer came just weeks after they had hired Micah Shrewsberry as their head coach.
Haralson marks the highest ranked commitment ever for the Irish. 247 Sports has him ranked fourteenth nationally in the 2025 class while Rivals has him seventeenth, and twenty-fifth by On3. With the addition of Haralson, it marks a monumental week for the future of Notre Dame basketball. Back on Monday, they had also landed a commitment from four star forward Brady Koehler, another Indiana product. The duo gives Micah Shrewsberry and the Irish one of the top 2025 recruiting classes nationally right now.
