It has been a monumental summer both on and off the court for Makai Campos. This started with his play with WM Premier and then with his recruitment for the 2027-point guard of West Ottawa High School (MI).
In July, Campos and WM Premier won the 3SGB East Championships. They did this while finishing the season with an eighteen-game win streak. Then more recently in August, Campos picked up his first scholarship offer.
The offer for Campos came from Ferris State. “It’s a huge blessing,” he said about picking up his first offer. “Something I have been working for since third grade. It is really encouraging and pushes me to keep working. I am very appreciative of my parents and trainers for all the support over years.”
The Ferris State offer comes for Campos after he recently attended their elite camp earlier this month. “Things went really well. We got to compete and learn from the staff and current players. It was a good competitive camp.” He had also taken a visit to Ferris State last fall. “I like the staff and how they run their program. The campus is nice, and they have competitive sports teams,” Campos had to say about Ferris State.
