After previously receiving several division two offers, Eli Krueger has now received his first division one offer. This came from Green Bay for the 6’9” 2027 post of McFarland High School and Wisconsin Swing.
“It feels amazing, a dream come true for sure,” Krueger said about receiving this offer from Green Bay. Green Bay immediately stood out to him not only for basketball reasons, but also because of the atmosphere around the program. “I like how close it is and I enjoy their culture that the coaching staff have built,” he said.
Krueger’s recruitment is just beginning to pick up. Toledo, SIUE, and Milwaukee are among the other division one programs showing interest in him. He had also been offered previously by Lake Superior State, Michigan Tech, Northern Michigan, and Winona State, all division two programs.
The offer from Green Bay comes following Krueger attending their camp. “The camp was great. I played against very good competition and met the coaching staff which was nice. I also got to see most of their facilities which was very nice too,” he stated.
Krueger has already been active taking several visits while setting up more. “Right now, I have a visit set up with Winona State but hopefully I can also go visit Toledo sometime soon. But I have visited Northern Michigan, Michigan Tech, and Lake Superior State so far,” he said.
The rising junior also has clear goals for the upcoming season. “I hope to help my team become very successful this year by doing whatever I can to win. We have a solid team this year so hopefully we can pull off something great,” Krueger said.
