Over the past few months, Jeffrey Hassan has been one of the fastest rising prospects in Illinois’ 2027 class. The newest development is an offer from a Big East program for the 6’9” post of Kaneland High School and the Meanstreets program. On the Nike EYBL this past season, he averaged 6.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks in just 22 minutes of play.
Back in July he received his first division one offer which came from Central Michigan. Days later he received his second offer coming from LIU. More recently this month, Hassan added an offer from DePaul.
The offer from DePaul came following a visit to the Chicago school. When asked about the visit, Hassan called it, “great.” When talking about the visit, he added in “I watched their practice and I like the way the coaches coach and I’m starting to get a feel for their culture and I like that too, I also like the campus.”
Following the DePaul visit, he will also be visiting Western Michigan, La Salle, and Providence College. He is also working on setting up visits to Boston College, Illinois, Loyola Chicago, Miami (OH), St. Louis, UIC, and others. In addition to these, he has had several schools come visit his open gyms this month at Kaneland. Amongst these programs are Boston College, Loyola Chicago, Valparaiso, and Western Michigan.
