David Bolden Picks Up First Division One Offer

While division one scholarships have been tough to get in this current recruiting environment, David Bolden was able to pick up his first division one offer. On Friday, the 6’0” 2025-point guard of Nicolet High School (WI) and Power 5 received an offer from Wright State. 

“Feels great,” Bolden said about receiving his first offer. “I feel like I’m starting to get more recognized for the player that I am. But I still have a lot more work to do.” Some other division one programs who are showing the most interest in him include High Point and South Dakota.

The offer comes for the rising senior took an official visit to Wright State on Thursday. “It was great,” he said about his visit to the Ohio school. “The staff was nice and welcoming, and I enjoyed it.” When talking about the Wright State program, Bolden said “I love the culture there, they’re very welcoming and have a great coaching staff. 

When asked about his own game, Bolden described himself “as a true point guard.” Also adding in his ability to defend as well as “score when needed.” In his junior season at Nicolet, he averaged 10.3 points apart of one of the most talented teams in Wisconsin who went 24-5 on the season. He also led them in assists with 4.8 per game as well to avergaing to 3.9 rebounds.
